Massage Therapy

Meet your therapist: Michelle Ogden

SWEDISH MASSAGE
Swedish Massage is the use of long, flowing strokes to promote relaxation while increasing oxygen and blood flow to the muscles. It aids the body in removing toxins, delivering nutrients to the tissues allowing the body to recover from trauma more rapidly.
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Deep Tissue Massage is a manual therapy used to work the deeper layers of muscles. It assists in relaxing, lengthening and releasing holding patterns in the tissues.
SPORTS MASSAGE
Sports Massage allows the athlete to recover more rapidly from injury reducing the likelihood of chronic problems and further injury. Massage decreases muscle soreness enabling the athlete to train more consistently and perform at higher levels.
HOT ROCKS MASSAGE
Soothing basalt river stones, heated just to the right temperature make this a relaxing, stress relieving treatment. Hot Rocks are used as tools during the massage and are often placed on the body to help release fatigue from specific areas of muscle tension.
PRE-NATAL MASSAGE
Pre-Natal Massage is specifically tailored for the expectant mother’s needs. Pregnancy Massage has been found to reduce stress, decrease swelling in the arms and legs and relieve aches and pains in muscles and joints as the body goes through each stage of pregnancy.

KOR NEWS
  • Hanna Williams, a fifth-year LPGA Tour member, reached a milestone for any golfer -- her first professional victory!

Hanna Williams has been working with a trainer, Beaverton-based Donn Dimond of The KOR PT, who has helped her become stronger and more flexible. The work helped her better use the swing she has been building with instructor Gary Gilchrist. Hanna Williams started working with Gilchrist -- who has worked with Michelle Wie, Sean O'Hair and Suzann Pettersen -- in July 2007.

"He was one of the first people to tell me that I need to get stronger to achieve things in my swing and be more flexible," Hanna Williams said.
